Hi all... my latest one-shot will be one of two games...

I'd like to run 'The Haunting' for Call of Cthulhu for new players. If you've never played Cthulhu then nows your chance with the scenario that almost evreyone starts with. They say 'The haunting' is the scariest single night adventure made for Cthulhu but it'll only work for new players. It'll be updated to the modern era and relocated to Chester (maybe).

If you want to play a game at my table but have played this, that's cool too. In that case I'll run a BRP version of a scenario for the hard sci-fi game 2300AD

Is this for 3 Oct (and just for the one session)?

Not sure if I've played The Haunting or not, but I've definitely played a bit of Cthulhu before...

Yeah Matt... its for the 3rd of Oct... and 'the Haunting' is sometimes called 'Mr Corbitt's house' and is usually the first scenario I run with new players.

I'd be down for either, really. I you can get enough new players for Cthulu I would be leaning in that direction, as I've never played it before but love dear HP to pieces. If not, then I'd certainly be down for 2300. Had a great time at Far Dominion last week.

hm. Well no one showed so game was called off.

Gonna take a break for a while and go back to harp lessons. It just seems that if eveyone's is already in a game its really hard for new members to get involved. Happy gaming everyone Smile

Sorry I didn't show because I hadn't heard back from anyone on this so I assumed it wasn't going to run and I couldn't face the possiblity of a board game being my only option (not that I have anything agaisnt board games)
