Another EGM was held on Monday (what will hopefully be the final full length EGM)
The following points were discussed:
Cliquishness problem at the club:
This was mentioned that it was probably more of a problem at the Railway Inn and for those people arriving late. Tess has mentioned that her games will probably be by the entrance to greet potential newbies.
Use of Club funds/admission price:
The club currently has approximately £130 in the kitty. It was proposed that the funds be put into a bank account and held until there is a change of circumstances. As a result, there will not be a weekly charge to attend the current for the current future. While it was discussed of keeping the charge and using the funds to enhance the club, the free club idea passed by a narrow margin.
This will be reviewed at the AGM.
Convention:
Death Jester is broadly in charge of organising a Chester Games Club convention for 2012 and while many details have not yet been finalised, anyone wishing to help or offer suggestions should go to this thread.
Raffles/events etc:
No problem with these but to official club organising will be devoted to it.
Forums/Terms of use:
Discussed due to recent forum events, and club is broadly in consensus but lots of debate about actual tone. Suggest basic one be stuck up in Welcome thread.
Club Advertising: Ian will decide whether the club venue can hold more members and thus decide whether to start advertising the club. Posters in geek hotspots seems the popular idea.
Newsletter: TornadoCreator and Xoryst seemed to be the people willing to do the idea. Ideas should be posted to this thread (link to follow).
Anything I have missed please PM me. _________________ The Master can blow me, Monkey-Suit. Bloodrayne 2
As a result, there will not be a weekly charge to attend the current for the current future.
Can I just clarify, is this a temporary reduction of the weekly charge to zero (to be reconfirmed at the AGM), or is the weekly charge abolished until further notice? _________________ Matt / paz

Fund reduction is until further notice. If we start being charged we will review it.
I asked around at the club a few weeks ago, no one was interested in having another meeting regarding the venue and were generally happy with it. If anyone actually wants to have the meeting pm me and we will discusss if its required.
