Hi Dave,

We tend to play a very casual level of magic, we tend to use relatively inexpensive decks, and are not heavily competitive.

None of the current club members AFAIK go to any kind of official tournaments/drafts etc.

The draft will be for fun, not rated, and using betrayers as that was the cheapest set at time of purchase.

We are pretty loose about card restrictions and enforcing bans etc, to date we don't have any players seeking to gain an unfair edge through heavy spending.

We initially started playing peasant, but relaxed it a little so people got to use some of the interesting rares, so far we've managed to keep it pretty casual and it seems to be working.

I'd like to start up EDH at some point but not everyone has a big enough card pool at the moment.

TBH probably not (if you want serious MtG).

We're basically an RPG/Board gaming group, were some of us play casual MtG (and even then maybe only for about 30-40 mins on an average night).

We certainly don't do any 'rated' stuff.
