Greetings Gamers.
For those of you who don't know me I'm Aaron (or Az) used to be a regular at the club before moving away.
I am in the process of looking at property to open a gaming store in chester. Board games, collectable games like Magic and of course RPG games as well as everything else that goes with it. Most likey miniature wargame stuff too.
If you have any thoughts, or requests please post them. I will factor in your suggestions to my plans.
Look forward to hearing your comments! _________________ All those who are about to die. I salute you!
I was looking at opening a coffee shop in Chester some time back. It never happened but I did look at a lot of properties, there were always decent ones at good prices around Bridge Street and Watergate Street (plus a few duff ones no one should touch!). If you're having any trouble finding commercial property listings let me know and I'll send you over the ones I used.
Yes I would use it, and as my first port of call. But I wouldn't expect to buy anything more than maybe twice a year max. If there was a coffee-shop element to it I would probably use it as my base for any time spent in Chester
I would definitely visit and buy from an RPG shop in chester. The only reason I don't visit them much now is because the nearest ones I know about are in Manchester. If it was cheaper than the usual shop, so much the better.
I much prefer to see what I'm buying, so if there was a proper gaming shop in Chester I would certainly check there before shopping online.
I'd adverise you to avoid stocking much Gamesworkshop stuff, just because Chester already has a Gamesworkshop and a Hobbycraft, so anyone who's interested would go to one of them.
Small rpgs and tournaments in the store are a good way to get more customers in if FanBoy3 is anything to go by. _________________ Red warrior needs blue valkyrie, badly!

My only suggestion at this stage would be to make it as good-looking, inviting and exciting a place to shop as Forbidden Planet, London is- if not even better. So have a look at the very best of retail design and layout and draw inspiration or motivation from that.
Ok update for ya'll. Sorry I left it so long been busy look at places and doing lots of horrid maths. I fully intend to do FNM (Friday Night Magic) you get all sorts of prizes and promos n stuff. Drafts and pre-releases would be done too for sure.
Still a lot more work to do before it happens, but I am working at it!
