Hi. I'm Stephen - I came to the club last Monday, but I didn't get a chance to say hi to everyone because a lot of people were involved in the tournament, so here I am.
I've only recently moved to Chester, so I don't have a lot of my stuff with me, like my Magic collection or my small Warhammer 40k army, but I play all sorts of board games and card games, and pretty much every RPG system under the sun. D&D, WoD, Apocalypse World, GURPS, Nobilis, Dark Heresy, Traveller, you name it. I work a fairly late shift, but I'll try and be a frequent attender nonetheless.

Alright Stephen, Steve, Ste (which ever you prefer) Smile

I'm Mike.

Usually bank holidays are one of the best days for people to pop down as lots of us use it as an excuse to break out some longer length board games and give the rpgs a break for a week. Unfortunately like you said there was a magic tourney on and people were otherwise occupied.

If you've had a look around the forums you might have noticed that the club is moving (and I guess one or more people might have told you on Monday). The forest house is well located in Chester, just off the main road through the shops coming up from the train station (but Google maps will probably paint an easier picture to find).

Game wise, I know that there's one or two games about to start up. There's a Dark Heresy game which I don't think is full yet and if there's enough players still looking for a game, I'll be starting one up. If you're wanting to take it easy for a while however we do have a group of board game nuts that keep everyone well entertained that aren't in rpgs.

Looking forward to seeing you at the club.

I resent the suggestion that board games are "taking it easy" compared to RPGs!  I shall have to bring in some of my more taxing games...

Hiya Stephen,

It will be great to see you next Monday - please accept our apologies as the earlier part of the evening will be taken up by and Emergency General Meeting. I know our other newest members (well, everyone really) have been a little frustrated by recent meetings cutting into game time because of the venue change, but this should be the last one until January now.
*party poppers going off*

See you there!
Tess
