Hello there!
My name is Chris, I am 22, I work in the Broughton area but live in Eastham/Bromborough area so getting to your club is only a slight detour for me on my way home I would imagine...
I have done a bit of LARPing in the past and attended 'The Gathering' a couple of times and been in mainly the Hearts faction with a brief spell in the Lions though i've only been when I have had people to attend it with.
My main reason for seeking you guys out is for D&D 4th Ed which I have recently taken an interest in though the group I was putting together to which I offered to try out DM'ing for have proved somewhat unreliable and yet to get a session started, though I am willing to give anything a try....
I found you via a google search for believe or not "Dungeons and Dragons Wirral" which pointed me to your wiki page and then from there I found this forum.
As far as D&D goes I have probably had very little experience with it compared to most of you and although I know the basics from what I have taught myself I am sure I would need time to get to grips with it.
I can be a little shy until I get to know people but after that you'll probably have trouble shutting me up.
Oh also played a little Warhammer & Lord of the Rings in the past too but only a portion of my army is painted due to my perfectionism

Hi and welcome,
I also work in the broughton area, but I have a much shorter commute.
I'm sure you'll be able to drop into a 4th ed game without too much trouble, don't worry about knowing all the rules, the GM and other players can help out with that, people with zero knowledge of the game usually drop in without a problem.
I'm not sure when the next available slot for a 4th ed player will be, but if you do come down you'll definately be able to drop into a boardgame or another RPG in the short term.
There are a couple of warhammer players at the club, but it doesn't usually get played at the club. There is a thursday evening club in Broughton that plays a lot of warhammer if you did want to have a game, unpainted stuf is fine.
I thought that might be the case, think it would be great to meet everyone before getting involved in a game, will try come along this coming Monday to show my face
Is there someone I should look for in particular when I arrive?

Hello Chris ,
Sadly there aren't any spaces in my 4th ed game at the moment .
This may of course change over time, but there is a short waiting list (well it's a very short list, well okay it's 1, but the princple still stands ). There maybe opportunities to 'stand in' but such things are unpredictable.
I've no idea what the state of play in Tornadocreators 4th ed game is and Owen's game just ended.
What are peoples views on spectators at this club when it comes to D&D etc? I think I read somewhere that people don't mind if you watch them play card/board games but just thought Id check...

Right going to pop along to this tonight if all goes well at work so shall see you all there... If you see someone sober but looking lost thats probably me
Thanks for the warm welcome last night everyone, don't be offended if I dont remember your name as my memory is shocking!
Had a good crack at Warhammer - Chaos in the Old World albiet having to clear up certain parts of the rules every 5 minutes so I knew what I was doing, so thanks to Mark, Mike & As for the hand holding there.
I shall certainly be coming back though it might not be for the next week or two due to holidays!
