Hi peoples of Chester Games Club,

Me (Tez) and a friend (Adrian) would like to start coming to the club and either join an existing RPG or I would run a game myself. We have been to the club before a few years ago and played some board games and did a couple of one off RPG adventures and we met a few of the longer serving members. We have been meaning to start coming back for a long while now and have finally resolved to start coming. There is a possible problem in that we can only come 2 weeks in every 4 due to shift work. I was thinking that because of this it would be best if I ran a game rather than join an existing one because those that played a game that I ran could then play board games or do other stuff on the off weeks. We have played and run all kinds of RPG games over the years. Any one looking for a game to play that they are currently not getting to play?

I remember you! We'd love to have you back.

Do you mean you'll be able to come to the club for a two week period, then miss the following two weeks?

Hey Paz,

yeah, you introduced us to the club with a complimentary game of powergrid which I nearly won (You snatched victory from me in the last round if I remember correctly). You are correct in that we would be able to come for two weeks and then not come for two weeks . Occasionally I would be able to take a half nights TOIL in work so I would be able to turn up more oftne but essentially it would be two weeks in and two weeks off. I have run a Pathfinder game since Pathfinder came out and before that all the previous D&D editions (including 4th). Also we would like to play or run Call of Cthullu, Vampire, Traveller, Cyberpunk....basically most things are on the table. I also have played a lot of magic in the distant past and we love boardgames, although we would prefer to play RPG's this time round.

HI Again

I played in your game of thrones game I think.

Im planning on running a small modern day campaign which will be perfect for drop in drop out players if you are interested in playing.  I wont be around for the next two weeks but will be starting it after that.

We are trying to encourage more smaller games as we currently have a slight shortage of big tables in the club but have plenty of space for a couple of smaller games.

Ian

I'm running some Pathfinder Society scenarios, with each one running over a two week period. So, depending on how your schedule works out compared to mine, that could be an option for you.

MtG tends to played around 6.45-7.40 by the bar. Only about 2-4 people currently. You're more than welcome to join in  Smile.

Standard disclaimer thing:

I sadly can only play from 6.45-7.40 (this shouldn't stop anyone else of course) after this I'm running a D&D game. This means that for me it's either going to have to be 1 on 1 or Two headed Giant (multiplayer is just going to take too long).

People should also be aware that if they want to carry on playing (after 7.40) they may have to nab a table on which to do so.

Both Dead's one off modern merc games and Paz's pathfinder society games sound awesome. We would both be up for either or both of them. MGT is not likely to happen though to be honest as Adrian ain't a big fan and we would be coming over together.
