Hi there!

Searched for a D&D gaming group in Chester which led me to Chester Games Club.

I've never played D&D before but always wanted to give it a go!

Would it be ok to come along one week please?  I am quite normal but unfortunately I am quite old, being half a year shy of my big 4-0.  My other half does not like any of my main interests (gaming, reading, films) so I will be on my own.  I have all my own teeth, can hold a decent conversation (if a bit shy at first) and grew up playing games on a Commodore 64.  Oh, I own a little syrian hamster too called "Moogle".  (The other half won't let me have a cat but that's a l-o-n-g story...)

So, if my hideous old age hasn't put you off (or my weird ramblings) what do you do - just turn up on the night?

Cheers,

Nick (Ellesmere Port, Cheshire)

Hi Nick,

If it helps you won't be the oldest at the club. We generally have a number of different RPGs going on as well as some board games and general friendly banter. And yeah just turn up and we'll see about getting you a game.

Hope to see you soon,

Matt (one of many)

Hi Nick,

You're quite welcome to come along; an existing member (who I won't identify) celebrated his 40th this week, so you won't be the oldest! Cool There are quite a few of us in our 30s at the club too.

It may help if you post here a day or two before you intend to come along, just so we know to expect you.

Just saying: "Hi" hope to see you at the club soon.
We all had out first visit once, but it is a friendly club.

Ian.

Probably best just to turn up, you may not be able to get into an RPG straight away.

But play some board games and chat to a few people and it'll only be a matter of time.

Very Happy
