Vote away!

Poll will run for two weeks, then I'll put up one for the next question.

Though I don't play I'm attempting to get boosters into stock at work (Waterstones Wrexham)

If I can I might be able to buy them at discount for the club, no promises though

I voted option 2, but option 1 is good too,

I'm willing to chip in for the box so one person doesn't have to pay the full amount.

Been chasing them up (I've had them on order since we last sold out over a month ago)

Looks like if I get them at all it'll be early February, too late for this time then.

It's the Scars of Mirrodin boosters and decks I've got on order, though I may change that to the new Mirrodin Besieged if they're not delivered soon.

If anyone's got any suggestions for other sets to order just let me know, as I said I don't play so I'm just going on what the latest releases are.

That's not a problem this is being planned for the next Bank holiday (April 25th).

You mentioned a possibility of a discount (no promises). Any idea how much this might be?

Totally understand the not committing you to anything thing.

I would hopefully be able to buy boosters individually at 33% off retail price. Whether this makes it any cheaper than buying a whole box of boosters I don't know.

Set your calculator to maths!

Cool .

By my rough calculations it would be about 40p cheaper per pack. Approx £2 ea  Very Happy .

I had a bit of a chat with Chris on Monday:

The set would either be Scars of Mirrodin (1st set in the new block) or Mirrodin Besieged (2nd set due out at the end of January).

If he can buy them at a discount they would cost around £2 ea. (he can only buy individual packs not boxes).

He also mentioned that we may need to act quickly to buy them, as last time they sold out.

If he can get them (there's apparently a small chance they may not arrive) this seems the best way to buy them, cheap & avoids the left over packs thing.

I have played alot of draft and sealed tournaments, it makes it alot more fun when there are prizes involved, if people pay standard price for their 3 boosters the prizes are covered. Bit of friendly competition Very Happy. If money ends up being left over the cost of the box either split it between players or put it aside with the intent to buy a box in the future to do a free to play draft or some such.
