Are they normal machines with leather needles or actual leather sewing machines?  It makes a big difference.

I would be up for kit making, I need to adjust some chain and do some repairs to kit, mostly leather work.  Probably cant do the metal work I need to do at yours as its  a bit loud and dirty Very Happy

Do you still have the metal sheet?  Might buy some of you as I need a couple of strips for my new helm.

Cool I can finish my kit off for the next event there.  I need a dummy to wear the chain while I do the armp pits, so everyone bring deoderant.

How easy is it to make your own chainmail?
I have bought 1000 X 6mm Stainless steel rings to have a play with to see how easy it would be to do the 4 in 1 pattern, having someone show me who has done this before would be a great help.
i have also looked at sourcing wire and making my own rings first but no suppliers seem readily available in the UK. Any ideas on this would also be appreciated.

Thanks.
