I have been spreadingthe word that is LARP to the guys and gals down here and there are a few who are interested.
One is definately keen on coming along to an event. From the converstations we have had she wants to be a Kender so that doesn't fit with the children themselves. But maybe we gave her shelter or something and so she is affiliated with us on a IC level. She wants to be a 1/4staff fighter so that fits with those Kender stick things.
I will talk to her some more today and see, cos it would probably be easier to have the first character as human so she gets used to it all and can observe some Kender madness first.
Anyway, will talk in more detail with the others who are potentially interested. Once I have figured out who is up for it and who isn't we will have to sort out a meeting of sorts. Maybe if Ian or some of you lot are free one weekend you could pop down with some kit and weapons and let them get a bit of a feel for it. See if it what they wanted and everything.

Usual rules about getting to know them first before we invite them apply to everything below.
Best bet for them will be some kind of weapons practice to make sure they are ok with getting hit and safe fighting. How many and how old out of interest?
Kender will be fine, there are already plenty in the Dragons, kender dont really need any justification to be in the group. We are shiny so she decided to follow us around. She can expect IC grief of me, maybe worth warning her, I dont like Kender that much.
As they are a good way away and we do have other newbies wanting to join its proably worth setting up a support unit for an event or two. Same basic kit but a sash rather then surcoat, we have hired them to stiffen up the numbers a bit. Im fine with a weapons practice and a bit of a kit show off for them. Talk to you about it tonight/tomorow.
If any can get kit in time it may be worth them coming to the campaign event as mosnters.

Thats what I thought. There are a few and I am trying to nail down exactly how many. There are a couple of people who would really like to but may not be able to for various reasons but I have 1 100% definate and maybe up to 4 other possibles.
If you remember Sean my mate from london, he is also quite interested and I think he is coming up the weekend after conception, is this a good weekend to try and do a kit show off/introduction and all that jazz? _________________ All those who are about to die. I salute you!

Sounds like a possibility. Do you have a venue in mind? I am hoping to do airsoft that sunday, if my new battery arrives in time. if not then it should be fine. _________________ No good deed goes unpunished
Fair enough. Either day of the weekend should be fine.
Yeah my back garden is big enough to have a good mess around. There is a smaller side garden too for smaller area fighting. There is also a big public field/hillside not to far away if all else fails. _________________ All those who are about to die. I salute you!

Hi it's me. i was thinking about setting up a side group from phedes myself, i have 2 other people who are interested (my boyfriend didnt fancey it, so he's not coming to any more events) so i was thinking of possibly setting up a seperate group with ties to phedes still, since i'm so far away and kinda removed from the group planning.
if your online some time Ian, i'd like to disscuss the idea with you.
