Well I'm in for whatever duration comes about. Enjoyed the game at fanboy, even if we did have the reminder why the discussion about minimum age comes about from time to time.
My question would be is it going to be pathfinder soc. or home game? And if pathfinder soc. am I able to use my level 1 or do I have to make a new character to play through the first 3 ?

I'm shying away from running the three intro scenarios, simply because it requires a bit more organisation - avoiding people playing them out of order, for example. That would mean that your existing character would be fine.
Is anyone else interested? Or are people playing other things, or not keen on this type of game?
If anyone's been put off by the worst parts of D&D 3rd Ed./v.3.5, be aware that Pathfinder RPG has a whole host of changes intended to improve the game, so I'd urge you to try it for a couple of sessions. _________________ Matt / paz

I would be interested if committing to one of the longer term games again (you must be missing me already!), but not in the short term, due to Kamikazegerbil's game. _________________ The Master can blow me, Monkey-Suit. Bloodrayne 2

This is exactly the kind of thing I've been looking for. I'd totally be down for as long as you're willing to run it (or as long as I'm in this part of the world, anyways). My only concern at this point is a transportation issue, as the last train for Wrexham leaves at 10:28, and I'd hate to have to cut games short on account of this.
If you were start this up on monday, would you prefer us to come with premade characters (using point buy or similar), or would the first session comprise character creation? Also, do you have a policy on porting over 3.5 feats and PRCs (within reason, of course)?

That's no problem for me, as long as you don't mind your character being guided by the group for the last few minutes of the session. From experience, I'm used to people turning up late and other people leaving early.

Hopefully the post that will appear below in the next few minutes will answer most, if not all, of these questions. _________________ Matt / paz

After some thought, I'd like to try running a game under Pathfinder Society organised play rules, unless anyone has a deep objection. There seems to be a mix of people who want to play for a couple of sessions, those who want to play longer, and those who want to join in but aren't available yet. PFSOP is designed to let people drop in and out fairly seamlessly, so it looks like a good fit. Of course, I'm happy to review this after a few weeks if people don't think it's working.
All of the adventures are designed for 5-hour slots, so given that we only manage about 3 hours of gaming in a night, I'd be looking for people who could commit to attending for two consecutive weeks.
I'll be running In Service to Lore on 10th & 17th Oct, which is the first of three introductory scenarios. There are two approaches that each player can take:
Low prep
Just turn up. I'll bring some pregens with me for people to choose from, and also some cards with PFS numbers on them. If people want to carry on after the first scenario, they can keep their pregen character, or create an entirely new character for the second and subsequent adventures.
Higher prep
You can create your own character in advance. Do the following:
Go to paizo.com and click 'Sign In' at the top, followed by 'Create New Account', then fill in the form.
Go to paizo.com/pathfinderSociety and click 'Join the Pathfinder Society!' on the right to get a PFS number.
Download the guide. Chapter 2 (pages 5-7) contains the character creation rules, and there is a character sheet at the end. There's no need to worry about factions yet.
Go to your PFS account page and click the link at the bottom that says 'Register a new character' to do just that.
I'm happy to answer any questions people might have, either on the forum, via e-mail, or on the night.
A final comment: I know some people are keen to play We Be Goblins!; I still intend to run it some time in the next month or two, but as an added bonus, playing through this module lets you add XP to your PFS character.
