Dear All,

I'm not going to be able to make it tonight (Monday 26 September 2011). I'm very sorry about this.

Unfortunately, one of the congregation passed away, and her funeral was today, which has meant that lots of things have been re-arranged, which has meant that the day is running all kinds of late, and one of the meetings that should have been this afternoon has been pushed to 7:30 this evening.

Unfortunately, this was going to the be the last night that I was going to be available until the 17th of October. I was hoping to get the sessions finished tonight. I am really very sorry.

We will have to put the game on hold, and I release you guys to whatever games you can slot yourselves into. I realize that we were only playing until such time as your GM showed up.

I have a PCC on the 3rd of October, and I'm away in Gregynnog on the 10th of October.  I am up for taking the rather unusall step of arranging another night where we can get together around a table and get a meal and finish the game on another night if you guys are up for it, just to get it all finished.

Again, I am really very sorry.

Can someone who checks these forums try to make sure this message gets to Tess et al? I will try to send the message through as many other forms of communication I have.

Sorry again.

~Phil

No Problemo  Smile

I'm happy to arrange a different night for a one off, but I'm also happy to wait until you are back. Our previous GM has had 'real life' get in the way too so has said that he will not be running any further Apololypse World sessions.

See you next month (or at Matt and Shells)

I wasn't able to make it tonight anyway due to illness. but thanks for keeping us informed.

Personally, I hope to start running a mini-campaign of my own in the next couple of weeks, and I find it difficult to get out on other nights due to childcare issues. Having said that, if rescheduling looks like being a problem, I'm keen to know how the story is likely to have panned out.

Well,

Thanks for the vote of confidence Paz. I would be more than happy to start running a mini-campaign (though I'm not very good at the "mini") and tend to write something "rolling" that allows people to come in and out as they please. I like huge sweeping stories with many players.

The biggest problem I have is not being in control of my diary at the moment. We're almost out of the round of PCC's for this quater, but Monday does seem to be the day everyone wants to do meetings. This would lead to a game that was occasionally disrupted because the GM (by duty of his office) had to attend said meetings, despite not having the ability to move them yet.

As an example, I'm back in the Club on the 17th and October, then I go away on Holiday (okay, so that one's my fault) for the 24th of October.  I'm back for the 31st, 7th, and then I have another PCC on the 14th of November. I'm back in the Club for the 21st, and then I've got a meeting that might be optional on the 28th of November. Then we're into December. As you can imagine, the Job gets a little hecktick in December, and there are only 3 mondays in December before Christmas!

However, if everyone is okay with that, then I'm quite happy to explore what people want me to run, dust off my old books and cobble something together.
