Right  I am getting the bug to run games again, and I think this would be a good idea in general.  What generic Genres/styles are people interested in running or think are being overlooked in the club?

If you want anything adding to the options let me know.

Ian

What's the difference between low and high fantasy? Is there a chance we would have to put on a squeaky voice?

Low fantasy tends to dial back on the more fantastical elements such as magic and strange creatures in favour of being more realistic. It tends to be grittier but not always.

High fantasy is much more likely to chuck realism out of the window in favour of magic and strange creatures being common place. The default assumption of D&D (as presented in the core books of whatever edition) is High fantasy, especially at high levels.

EDIT: Squeaky voices are entirely optional but more likely to be out of place in low fantasy, so you were sort of right. Razz

Chtulutech, 40K setting, Heresy setting (40K), Firefly - think that covers the specific sci fi.
