I can host one group at mine, but I know that doesn't really help with the rest of the club.

Me and Tess will be looking at alternative venues tommorow morning.

eek indeed.
What are our options? community centres- church halls? http://www.allsaintshoole.org/ is nearby.
As is: http://www.roundaboutchester.co.uk/index.php/communitycentre
http://www.cheshire.gov.uk/CommunityRooms/Public/Premises.aspx?tid=1 , if it's any help.
Other pubs? The challenge is space. Crier was about as big as pub upstairs rooms come AFAIK. Up the fee and go somewhere like the Catholic club?

for me the Crier is out of the question. way to small and noisy, even for those among us who can talk at normal levels.
How big was the Catholic club? also any news on why the Diva have banished us?

I assume the Diva want to rent the room out for christmas events and make money on drinks.

yeah, but arent they saying that we can no longer have the room full stop? That's different from saying that we can't use it for the next month or so

Please dont speculate on what is happening, it just start rumours. Me and Tess are meeting up in a bit and we are going to take a look at what we can get. We will make an announcement on here when we have something.

is the move permanent? I take it there will be none of the attempts made to woo us back like when we last got shafted by them and moved somewhere else?

We are leaving the Diva permenantly, we will see if the hangman suits our needs. If it does we will stay there.

Is there any point discussing the permanency of the Hangman at this point anyway? We need a new place, we've found one. Debating this now is going to go nowhere.
I'm very positive about the hangman myself I think it'll serve our needs well.

Probably the ideal place to debate this would be at the AGM if we hold it in December. By then we will have a good feel for the place, and it gives us at least one thing to put on the agenda

Yey, well done people for sorting out a new venue.
The only downside is that it's closer to my house, so I feel even more like I should be walking/cycling instead of driving. Hmmm.

Given that it takes 4 minutes to walk between the two I don't think it really should be swinging your decision
However, my attitute to the enviroment is a little laissez faire, so I won't pick on your conscience.

The important question is: are we allowed to bring snacks?
And yes, people should be walking if they can in time
