Battlestar Galactica the board gameHeres the link to BGGhttp://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/37111 Players each get a member of the show as a character with positive and negative skills. Cards are randomly dealt out (ala shadows over camelot) and there is a chance that one or more members of the crew are cylon agents. You can move about galactica and colonial one, performing actions in various locations, as well as playing skill cards for special effects. At the end of each turn there is a crisis card which will either unleash cylons or force a skill check, skill checks are made by players discarding cards face down and adding 2 random cards, matching colours add to the check, non matching subtract, giving the cylon players a chance to disrupt things while the randomly added cards add a little smokescreen. The game ends after the galactica mangages to jump to cobol (humans win) or when one of 4 resources run out (morale, population, fuel, food) or a cylon boarding party goes unchecked on glactica (cylons wins) Lots of opportunity to get into character, make accusations and make deductions. At the halfway point of the game additional cards are dealt and previously human players may become cylon, and there is a chance of a sympathiser who will side with the weakest side. |

the game sells for around £30-35, the pre-existing agreement was club pays half as long as a few members agree.
games plays with 3-6 so has a fairly good spread. |
