Blood Bowl Rules and Leagues

right so i proposed to do a league! Any one who wants in is free to. let me know whos interested. What i thought is that anyone in the league can play anyone else in the league. you can play as many games as you want even if its against the same person. It will be 2 points for a win and a point for a draw. standard league rules apply as in the rulebook. i trust people wont cheat as youre only cheating youreself. Rolling Eyes  lol

ill update soon  for more rules md stuff
Death Jester

Me and sean (from london, he is up and about fairly regularly) are in!

Death Jester

Death Jester

Haskeer

give me time! some of us sleep and then work.
Yes i dont want to use the special cards. That will be the desicion unless majority want them.

I might have to read the new rules on cards first. I thought they were used to balance unfair teams. Which would be a good idea.

they do use cards to balance the underdog, but there are also other inducements that can be used (extra re-rolls, mercenaries, star players, bloodweiser babes etc.)

We find cards a rarely taken in our league, and when they are they aren't as devastating as they used to be.  There are some really good ones, but you need a 200,000 discrepancy between team ratings to get them.

I have playing cards marked up to use as the special cards if we need them.
Death Jester

The problem being if you have a full roster, then what? I don't think they will be unbalanced. And it seems there is some experience in using them
dedindahed

Good coaches never have a full roster (except maybe goblin or halfling)

And that makes a difference how? We are not all good coaches. Very Happy

you mean coaches who abuse the rules to thier own gain instead of making the kind of descisions a real coach would make? Razz
dedindahed

real coaches make salary based decisions all the time, so its closer to "real" coachinmg than filling to 16 because you can.

You're implying that real coaches would not exploit the rules for their own gain?  I salute your optimism!
Death Jester

No, I mean 'real' as in from the point of view of a blood bowl coach, they wouldn't know that it puts up the teams value and can be dangerous. I just play what makes sence. Having a full roster, if possible, does. Thats just me though Smile
dedindahed

A "real" blodbowl coach knows he has to pay his players a salary, and would not hire 16 players where 14 would do.
