Custoooom Diiiiiiiiiice!!!http://www.chessex.com/Dice/Custom_Dice_Home.htm
I think it's about £45 for fifty dice. or £90 for 100.
How would we use them and where, if they are to be used as publicity?

loving your assumptive sale there... but do we really need to be spending on publicity? we don't have space for doxens of new people. maybe next year we can do dice as a fun extra like the t-shirts this year but its not something I feel the need to put money into right now

Well, we know how to get them now for when we want to. When it comes to fresher's fair season (esp with our man in Mancunia) maybe we can revisit the idea?

I saw same dice and thought they where very good and wondering how one could utilise it.
The idea i had (for a few seconds before dismissing) was for us to invent a game that used the dragon symbol and release under our own company name.
Then we could take over the world (evil laugh)

I think I can find a few places that might do it cheaper (or at least slightly smaller orders at the same cost per dice) if you are actually thinking of it. Having some for freshers' fairs does sound a cool idea.

Actually the prices are more like £65 for 100 dice.

I don't mean to be a buzzkill . But have I do have to echo Tess's sentiments.
I don't think we can justify spending about half the clubs current kitty on giving away dice, custom or not.
If people want to club together to buy sets or something that's probably more realistic.

i know. i'm not suggesting we do it, i'm suggesting it's an option for later. I corrected the price for the sake of accuracy, so we can realisically plan it for the future.

this was an idea we talked about at conception, the plan being to take some dice along to conception next year. The idea of freshers fare is also good. I will say, tho, I wasn't even going to mention it until we had more money in the kitty, and we already knew where to get them from as we asked friends at conception (who have good quality dice) where they got theirs from.
I like the idea, but not now, it's unnecersary.
