Ok, so I may be putting the cart before the horse here, but as I have the new Dark Sun books for 4E on order I would like to start seeing if there are people interested in a game, starting around 13th september (I would go for the 6th, but given that is when the dave gorman/warewolves thing is, we may not be back by then) and going on for 3 weeks+ depending on my insparation and players desire to continue.

For those who don't know about dark sun, you can find more info on the setting here. Please bare in mind though that the 4E setting is a bit of a re-boot so specifics might change.

The Plot of the adventure will involve the players being hired to recover a powerful magical item that was lost in the chaos surrounding the recent death of the Sorcerer King Kalak, but has turned up in the hands of a petty tyrant using it's power build a powerbase for themselves.

With Magical Items like this being as rare as they are however, it's sure to draw the attention of multiple parties, all wanting to claim the power for themselves.

It's up to the players to decide how they will get the item back, and when they do, what they will do with it. After all, if the Item is that powerful, why give it up at all?

In related news, my books arrived yesterday (yay!) So we'll go with the origonal idea of starting on the 13th September. I am hopeing that we can get character get sorted out on a one-to-one basis with people that are interested before then.

Hello fine sir, I am due out of hibernation/ rehab/ prison/ (pick only 1) as soon as my parole officer signs me off.

I would love to play a game with your good self and if the amazonian ladies (topless but with grass skirts, tanned in colour and crazy earings) manage to send the afformentioned book of words in time i would be willing to sign a contract that states i will be in attendenance from start untill finish and may also provide wit/humour/ sweets/ low dice rolls (again only 1 available )

Please let me know if there is enough room for little old me.

So As far as I am aware now, I have 5 players:

1) Tess
2) Haxar
3) Paule
4) Ian Jones
5) (Haxar mentioned knowing some-one else who was interested, so I'll hold this place for them).

I think that is enough for now. I can possibly squeeze in another person, but I think that it is better not to book that out online knowing that not every-one in the club frequents the forum. I'll try to grab people for character gen before hand as I'd like to do it on a 1-1 basis. I'd be happy to do this over email if nesecary.

The Dark Sun Game has now been canceled, due to Shell and I not being able to attend the club for a while. When we have more money and the baby is born we may be coming back to the club, and I may run the game at that point, but no promises.
