The basic skinny is, each character can have a fixed enhancement bonus for level 8, or two magic items of your choice. Use your judgement, and pitch them under level 8 and in character.

Also, the Company has a steel sword +2, mekillot (plate) armour, and desert herb salve that counts as a healing potion, plus the kank, two crodlus and chariot.
