on the subject of kit, i have been doin lots of looking around and THIS seems to be the best ammount for the price, trust me

however i would be delighted 2 b proved wrong.

orderin in bulk helps. 10mm is ideal for both shields and weapons(im thinkin o makin an axe or 2...)

£2 cheaper per sheet then I have found, but it is in black which will be harder to paint, but will show damage less. We also need to know what form of Plastazote, ld45 is weapon making, LD60 is a bit hard, we would have to front it with something softer but is perfect for shields.

I have emailed them to find out what type the foam is.

I was waiting for a quote from arco as they are local and do sell it on special order, but its been 2 weeks and they still have not replied.

A little larger but not by enougth to make much difference. Depends on what density it is, we will probably order from them once they come back with the information I requested.

I will need the money for the order before I make the order this time. I cant fund the group in the same way I did last year. It shouldnt be more then £20 or so each. Depends on how much latex they absorb.

The Foam is LD29, not suitable for shields. Looks like it is back to the stuff from eldrich.

hmm, the googleful is strong in this one.

I spent ages looking and didnt find these sites.

1m x 1m is a bit of a bad size but we can live with it. We will have to cut it into strips and lay it on like planks, with all the layers.

I will measure up a shield when I get home tonight and we can work out costs for everyone.

Shields are 1m by 60cm at its widest. We MAY get 2 layers out of one piece. That means for 5 shields we need 8 sheets odd, plus 1 thin sheet for detailing. We will also require latex and glue.

I would suggest that some people are going to have to use the old shields for the campaign event if we all go. How do people feel about ordering 4 thick and 1 thin sheet and making up the 2 spare cores we have. We are looking at £25, plus glue, tape, edging, latex and a grip.
