I don't play D&D or Pathfinder! Apart from that these books are portals to the real world and allow us to escape the everyday drudgery of our days in purgatory.

How so? I don't see the desire for imaginative escapism in a social context as a negative quality. Now if someone said "because it gives me a peer group who are willing to overlook my poor hygene and disgusting personal habits," THEN I'd agree. |
