Should there be a rough limit on how long games should last at the club? I'm not picking on anyone, but I have been at the club for many months now, and there are people here I've never had a chance to play with. I know very well games can go on longer than expected, and that long games are fun (we have a regular sunday night game which has long-standing campaigns played there), I'm just questionning if the club should host long games or if they should be taken to another night, and only shorter games played at the club. What does everyone else think?

I have to say I would prefer no restiction on length.  Part of the fun for me is to see my character evolve from a tiny weakling to a metaphorical god who can crush the souls of mere mortlings beneath his +5 sandals.  

While the argument makes a lot of sense (I would dearly like to play with different memebers of the club) the main problem is accessibility.  The club is a given reference point that everyone who is currently there can make it to.  Different locations and dates will exclude a lot of people (any gaming on Sunday I would never be able to make for example).  Even if it was at the club on a different day, non-club social or work arrangement s prevent people from going.

Obviosuly there is no problem with people gaming with people from the club out of the club, but for the above reason I cannot endorse imposing restrictions on those who can only make the club.  Possibly encouraging GM's to hold shorter adventures, but not a formal limit.

Limit should be good as a guideline ahem:

Anything that results in the club dictacting what people can and can't play is not a good move, even if the intentions are honorable (more interaction, top GM's "spreading the love", more opportunities to try more systems etc.)

people should be able to leave games and join others as they wish. so there is no real need to restrict anything. if people want a change and the opportunity is there to have it then all is well.
