Games Library

It seems that, between all of us, we've probably got a very large 'library' of games from which to dip into, and given that it's possible to borrow and return a board game or card game in an evening, I thought I'd start a list here.

I know that a few people have Boardgame Geek accounts which list their available games, but I'm going to try to combine those lists here, with the names of who have them and a vague genre notation. Those who want to add to the list may do so by referencing the games/link and I'll add them to this main post when I get a chance.

Simon and Matt are 'simon' and 'Paz' respectively. If that confuses people I'll amend the list to sign-on names. 'LMG' is Lannister Man's Group. Dave is Dave of the how-many-games-do-I-have-to-input variety... gah! When I get more time I'll try to make sure some of Dave's games are moved to the correct lists, as I didn't get a chance to check over all the links...

I've edited this post; any underlined games are ones that are usually in my big yellow bag, which I bring whenever I'm expecting to play board games. I will bring any of the others on request only.

My full collection (including many I would never dream of bringing to a games night) is listed on BoardGameGeek here.
simon

A few more to add to my collection, including the obvious omissions 'Werewolves of Miller's Hollow'.

Is it going to be easier to keep the list split up into different people's collections or combined into one big όber list?

EDIT: On reflection, it'll take a while to relink it all. Perhaps when I have a bit more time available. I've just added another ten or so card-games I've found though.
simon

Could this thread be made a Sticky/Announcement, so that it's always up at the top?

Done.

Get your games out for the lads!!

Thought it might be a good idea if all the BGG users post links to their collections, maybe sticky this??

My collection
simon

We've started to compile a list in the new Boardgames/Cardgames forum - if I get a chance I'll try to compile one big όber list with everyone's games on.

Although having just clicked on the link to see what games you've got, it took me to the list I'd started making of my own. You've got the same name on Boardgamegeek haven't you? I'll find them that way.
Lannister Man

The following is a list of the game that our group owns.

Junta (Fun, diplomacy and tactical game. Backstabbing encouraged)

War on Terror - Haven't played this yet but this looks good, particularly as somebody gets to wear a balaclava during the game.

Supremacy (World economic and military domination) with all the add ons bar the mega map Sad  But it does have mushroom cloud pieces, yes thats right, you get nukes Smile

Blood Royal - Excellent old school Games Workshop game of medieval trade, warfare and family politics.

Arkham Horror with King in Yellow, Dunwich Horror and Curse of the Dark Pharoah expansions. (Call of cthullu boardgame)

Game of Thrones with Clash of Kings and Storm of Swords expansions (Based on the novels by GRR Martin)

Diplomacy -Classic boardgame

World in Flames - Epic World War 2 Boardgame.

Civilisation - Classic boardgame

Lord of the Rings Risk - lightweight but fun strategy game.
paz

There were two competing game collection threads, which I've merged into one. Sorry if some people's posts above don't make much sense any more, but I didn't want to go totally power mad and just delete them...

Carcassonne - Medieval/Tile Placement/Area Control
Risk 2210
Nuclear War

Thanks, guys, for all the stuff so far. When I get a free moment (it may be half an hours worth of 'moment' from this list) I'll stick everything in a big list.
simon

Right, I'm sorting this out this lunch-time, at least to the extent that the games go into one list. I may take a while longer setting up links.

Also, anyone know how to set up links to pages with 'brackets'? I thought you could replace them with 28% and 29% but it didn't work...
paz

You need the % before the number, not after.
simon

Cheers. Will do that when I get another chance. Do you realise just how many games Dave owns?

Sorry, not updated the big list for ages, despite my intentions.

However, I have got a few things to add to the list, brought up from london.

• Necromunda and Space Hulk (so we now have some nice WH40K figures and floorplans, if needed)...
• Hacker cardgame (Steve Jackson Games)
• Battle of the Halji - hard to define, so check out the link: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/4655

Oh, and a big boxed starter kit of Magic the Gathering - which I'll start teaching Elliott soon...

I should report you to the NSPCC! Cool

Actually we're just clearing out my parent's garage as quick as possible. Does anyone actually want a bunch of free Magic cards, because I probably won't ever use them?

I'd be interested  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  Any idea how old/what expansions they are?
simon

Not off the top of my head, although the rules booklet has the name Mirage on it. I'm assuming that's one of the countless settings/themes, but don't know how old that makes it.
metagaia

Mirage was 10 or so years ago  Shocked   I didn't start playing magic until about 2004.  So I have no cards from that era.  I alter my statement to say that I would be *very* interested  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy
simon

Having checked over it it looks like an old box of Mirage cards plus some sort of big box starter kit which had the equivalent of two packs of cards and a bag of glass beads to record mana.

Somewhere along the way the glass beads have migrated to be used as tokens in another game, so I don't know where they are.
Death Jester

i have magic too. can you save me some?? may be able to get a few games when i come back.
