Kit nd CENSORED.Right this is what i need desperatly.
New armour as mine is broken.
New shield as i want one.
New surcoat.
I want to make the shields.
Want help with the armour.
Seeing as im the sewing monkey ill end up making anouther surcoat.
What we have sapre.
1 set of heavy armour
1 shield.
Whjat i suggest we have for spare kit.
1 spare surcoat for any possible recruits at events.
3 spare sashes for merceneries.
What players need.
Surcoat or mike.
Add stuff and lets get are arses in to gear.

Why do you need a new surcoat? Cause its too big?
Your armour I will help with. You also need new arms.
Shields I think we will need a base of plyboard or similar to make the center grip stronger. Reinforced with foamboard around the edge. I can help with them but dont ahve the time to work on them. THey need 20+ layers of latex to make them tough enougth.
Any more ideas?

for handles could we not look at using wardrobe handles and coverthem in foam.

yes butt how to fix them to the shield?we can embed a grip in the shield with no attatchment problems or stickyout bits.

i can live with my arms at the moment. Like ive said i dont get paid till april the 15th so im fooked untill then. Ian if over the next few weeks you can get the handles onto two bases for shields then once all my coursework is in and once ive been paid then ill get straight to work on adding the foam and latexing.

Arms will take time not cash, I think we ahve everything we need in mine.
We need to get some plywood for the shields, anyone got any, 6mm ish if possible? Then all we need is a few rivets, which I have one or two off and the foam. I probably have enougth foam to do the center boss of the shields if we go for that.

do you know what i may just have what youre after. Its some kind of wood but im not sure what. (i really should know because i do Alevel tech.) its smooth on one side and criss crossed on the other. I bought it to make a 40K battle bourd but thats never going to happen so its yours if you want it.

Ours not mine, can you bend it with your hands? can you break it with your hands? How thick is it?
Basicaly we cut a hole in it with the handle mounted in the middle. COver it in foam and paint. Get the foam ordered, we can sort latex out later. We are after LD45 for the front and if we can get it LD60 for the body(its a bit harder). We need some 1-3mm stuff for the decoration.

dousnt bend to much. Possibly its not the strongest. Thought wee were using the foam board anyway.
Are we putting a boss thing in it. Like what youve done with youre round shield?

Sounds like hardboard to me.

Using the foamboard wth the hardboard reinforcement. We can use a small boss in the center of the hand. THat the plan for now ayway.
Tempted if the wood isnt strong enougth to reinforce the grip with steel, not sure its needed though.
