Hello all. As suggested by Teflon Billy I am putting this on the forum. Now that we have a logo/emblem would we like to use is more widely- on the websites in particular? I'm not suggesting it be used instead of anything, just as well as what's already up there.

Paz, would you like me to upload image files for use, if so what format?

Could we get a poster printed to put on the back of the door on a Monday night, so any new people know they are in the right place.  And because it would be cool.

Poster would be good. For web use, you want a jpeg/gif/png - whichever the image itself is smallest in is best. If paz says nothing I'd stil lsay please post a link to it, or email it to me & I'll stick it online so those who want to in the club can download it so we can all use our creativity with it.

Plus, as a long-standing thing, i'm still toyong with the idea of actually designing a decent website (not just forums & wiki + 1 page, but a proper site) for the club, so having access to the logo would be very useful for that.

I have saved them as big .jpg and layered .psd files so people can pick and choose what they'd like best and then apply them as they like

The photoshop layers are clearly labeled. You could change the black one to white if you wanted, depending on what looks best for the situation.

I vote ditching the beer picture altogether, and just going with the dragon.

Seconded. I don't think that the beer really looks like it belongs there, and it might put some people off.

Just to be clear - I meant the whole picture which goes with the beer - the cards, dice etc. I don't see the need. Just use the dragon!

I do, personally, hate the beer in the logo at all. Even if you all want to keep the cards, dice etc, please, please, *please* remove the beer. I don't think it gives a good impression, and it's certainly not common for anyone att he club to be drinking....

I suggested this to Paz, but maybe a bit darker on the image to make it more subtle. I know the Clock is a bit twee, but it's a good symbol for Chester and is really only there tp provide a bit of green and a bit of texture.

While I know what clock it is, I think it's too easy to get confiused with big ben. Why do we need anything else? I like the dragon....

(Besides, the best websites are simple, and the simpler the logo, the more it lends itself to simplicity of design for the site)
