Leaving the change till so late has put a lot of people off going, even command types, if we dont see a price drop cause of this, which we wont, even more people will be pissed off. Looks like next year is gonna be even quieter.
Of course it wont be the LT's fault, it will be because of the credit crunch.

I'm not so sure. I know I haven't been recently, but I'm inclined to agree with one of the posters on that other topic. Clearly, as everyone has been complaining, attendance etc at the moots wasn't so great anyway, just continuing to do the same might well have led to a slow decline. By changing this to bank holidays, while they may lose some people to other systems, they give a chance to the people who can't normally go to them because of work to at least go for those 3 days. Also, by splitting them up, they may well end up with more visitors showing up. Don't pass judgement until you've been. LT had to do something different - at least this shows they're trying. Also, bear in mind that just cos a few people online are complaining it doesn't mean everyone thinks that way.

Not writing them off yet but a lot of other people already are.
There was a lot of dissatifaction with them already, to make major changes and only announce the dates this late dosent make a lot of sense. Yes they need to make changes but they cant just dump them on people at the last minute and expect everyone to be able to adjust. A date change should have been announced last year, remember they have not told thier staff about it either. Its another example of the communication issues they seem to ahve

I am with ian, its not the changes.....well not just that.....more that they left it so late the its hard for people to adjust. This should have been announced a year in hand and the website should have been updated much more. They are trying but not really showing it. So I can see the frustration.
Its not put any of us off, has it?

Definately still hoping to attend the Spring Moot and, if I like it, the other three as well.

Not to be too sarcy, but the beginning of the year, is that not an obvious time to post the timetable for the coming year? It is not their fault other people have already decided to o to other events - I'm quite happy to think that you probably wouldn't want to go to more than one national system regularly, so I would forgive them for not expecting their player base to be going elsewhere. I honestly don't see how 5 months notice is not enough.... In any normal organisation, advising people this much in advance would be fine, and the beginning of the year is when announcements are made for the coming year. Seems logical to me. why should they have decided last year? Logically?

They dont have a booking site. They are not that advanced, you have to send your credit card details through the post or write a cheque. Form will be available from the www.lorientrust.co.uk but the site hasnt been updated in 12 months.
This has put me off somewhat. I will still go this year, but if it dosent improve I will be looking elsewhere. They have made the changes to save money and for logistics. Thus next year I would expect:
1. A price reduction or at least the same as last year
2. An improvement in the set dressing
3. A site that is ready from time in on the friday, not half way through sat
4. General improvement in the organisation/site layout
What I am expecting is:
1. Reduced numbers, posibly drastically due to the date change
2. Reduction in the organisation of the Factions as key people are going to be missing
3. No change in the organisation.
4. Reduction in the number of traders after how they were treated last year.
I am not giving up on it yet, but I am not gonna give them another chance. This will be my last year at LT if it dosent improve.

that sounds fair, if it goes wrong we take our skills elsewhere and see who we can get to come with us!
I figured that, not very well kept is it?
