I have a friend selling a whole card collection, around 2k cards including lots of gold and silver cards and an unopened box of boosters packs (guildpact). and 30+ packs of unopened unhinged boosters packs.

I don't really know whats significant in magic the gathering but basically lots and lots. If you are interested let me know!

What sort of price are they looking for?

ummmm... Iwasn't given a price, he'll be sticking them up on ebay if he can't fnd a friend of a friend. Sensible offers will be considered (i.e £20 would not be seen as sensible due to the number and fact that most are new, where as £200 would!)

Is it possible to get a rough idea of the sets the collection icludes??

I'm thinking we could use the sealed boosters to run a booster draft at the club once we've taught people to play, guildpact makes a good draft format as it was geared towards multi-colour decks.

Would people be interested at around £5 a head to booster draft..

I'd also be looking to break down cards into smaller packages and redistribute at the club at reasonable prices to help new players get a foot on the ladder.

The emergence of the EBMC* may even be enough to get me down more regularly

would you only be interested if enough people all commited to buying the £5 sets or would that be an actual real time offer for me to pass on to him now? £200 would be acceptable if it means he doesn't need to spend the time cataloging them all as he would need to for ebay

Subject to reasonable condition, range of sets, and low proportion of unhinged/unglued

Is the 2000 card estimate including the sealed packs, or as well as the sealed packs??  If the unhinged stuff is part of the 2000 cards then the offer will be more like £150



Booster draft..

x players sit around a table with 3 new boosters,
everyone opens the boosters, picks one card and passes the rest left,
next booster is the same but passes right, last booster goes left again.

Everyone makes 40 card decks with the cards they drafted then you play out a tournament with those decks.
