Mao/Mau and the two cards rule.Well after being introduced to the game of Mao I think I have the hang of it. However, both Geoff and Paz hinted that there is a situation in which two cards can be played at once. However, clearly neither of them had the oppotunity.
My best guess is that the card has to be identical, so you can only play two King of hearts for example. I have now searched on the internet for approximately 1 hour for this rule and have failed to find it, am I going to have to play it again to put myself out of my misery?

It's Mao.
I certainly never hinted that any such rule existed.
Did people enjoy the fact that you could make up new rules in one particular situation?

I've played a simialr game where you could play more than 1 card at a time, provided it was a legal card, but it wasn't Mau and you were allowed to talk about the rules, so this is completely irrelevant
