Hello fellow Chester gamers,

Keele University Roleplay Association is holding a Nerd-kon, 36-Hours straight of pure nerdy goodness, from Noon on 20th Nov to Midnight on the 21st.

There will be:
Plenty of One-shots going on throughout the time. (Many different systems)
Magic Games, (possibly a booster draught too)
Board Games
a 36 Hour Sci-fi and Anime film playlist
Lan-Link up Consoles (apparently tournaments will be happening too)

It is being held at the SU, so there is a bar next door to us to allow us to drink (if you so wish) till aprox midnight-1am, which then reopens at 11 the next day.
We are also working on tea / coffee and drinks for the remainder of the time, or if you do not wish bar-drinks.

We also have an area where we are going to throw pillows / mattresses (hopefully) for those who want a quick kip between games.

It costs £5, which gets you a welcome pack and entry to all events (be warned, they will quickly fill up)

Keele University is located near stoke, for those of you who dont know. Its about an hour away from chester (depending on traffic)

If any of you are interested please let me know, as we would like a general figure to help us in making the welcome packs for you all.

Also, I think the parking is free on weekends, however i will check with the society president before making an official comment about it.

I am based in hartford, near northwich, but getting to winsford would cost me nothing. If we are doing two days are we doing accommodation or are we gaming the night away?

I was thinking of going hardcore, I think even at my advanced age I can manage 36 hours as a one off.

I am definately planning on going hardcore for both days, and I'll just bring a sleeping bag in case I decide to curl up in a corner for a snooze at around 3 in the morning.

To be honest I hate driving, so if dedindahead is happy to do lifts I will gratefully accept, expecially with the added attraction of the beer emporium  =D

For MetaG - I imagine that £60 is waaaay more than you'll need as its £5 entry and games are included. As long as we are allowed the option to bring our own food and drink (Rafe please confirm) then we shouldn't need many pennies at all!

We have been given the cloakroom which we are throwing matresses / cushions in for nap times for those of you who cant / dont want to try the full 36 hours aswell.

i'm up for the full 36hours i live in wallasey but can go anywhere thats convenient for you including hartford (theres a bullet train from liverpool limestreet to there so its easy for me) if you are going there already

Looks like hartford or penyffordd train station is the best bet,
You can get to penyfforrd on the bidston/wrexham train.

Check time tables and see if you can make penyffordd around 10 ish, or hartford around 10:30 ish.

Ooh choices, Will go with Hartford as that will knock half an hour off the time i'm in a car with sciatica and i'm familiar with the birmingham new street bullet train line anyway
