I’ve been gaming off and on for about 20 yrs (yes, since the days of DnD basic, Tunnels & Trolls and all that malarkey, ah the memories). I’m part of a long running group the plays on a Sunday, but wanted to expand my horizons a bit and see what else was going on.
I play mainly DnD, but also Runequest, Paranoia, & Warhammer (but willing to try anything else). I am happy to either play or GM (which are you short of?).
Is it best to just turn up on Monday? What RPGs are running at the moment?

We don't tend to be short of GMs, but I'm sure you'd get interest in a Paranoia game. There's usually a mix of short and long-term things running.

Unfortunately, whenever someone joins who has the same name as an existing member, we arrange a Star Trek original series-style fight to the death to determine who can carry on.
We're currently arranging the 'people called Matt royal rumble' which should be fun.

I'm also the Paranoia GM in the club, although that only stretches to having run one game - there's a very large pool of people willing to GM, and an even larger pool of games they want to GM, so it can be hard pinning down any one game for any length of time. Still, Ian's Riddle of Steel has lasted a long time, and PazMatt's D&D campaign was going well until he selfishly succumbed to fatherhood. But then a few of us have stumbled down that path.
There's a Warhammer 40K (Dark Heresy) game going on at the moment - the players have all created characters and been briefed and we're about to descend on a planet next Monday, so if you're interested you might be able to get the GM to pre-gen you a character. There's a thread about it elsewhere, the GM using the handle Visitor Q. Send him a PM and he should respond.
