Ok, that leaves three options:

1) No club this week (simple but depressing)

2) Try and hold club at different venue (keeps it on Monday but finding suitable venue at this late hour will be tricky)

3) Hold the club on Tuesday (No problems with venue, but many people can probably do Monday but not Tuesday).

Personally I am for number 3, though it should really be a group decision.

Also, I will continue to assume that there will be no club on Monday, but if that does change, could someone text me?  I won't have the time to check if I set off to Chester on Monday.

Lots of people don't read this forum.  And will turn up on Monday anyway.  An alternative location with a guide at the hangman would be the best option in my opinion.  Or no club this week.

Right we can do both 2 and 3.

Club on Monday elsewhere, then we get free use of the room on Tuesday for people who are prepared to move their game back one day.

Alternatives: Catholic club
People's houses (my living room is available to respectful and clean types who wipe their feet, but only from 9:45 onwards)
Other church halls that can take an emergency booking
Pub?

I am good friends with my local landlord and could send him a text.  I'm sure he would be cool with it considering the business going his way.  In handbridge mind.

I got this message late last night so I did not have time to make any descisions really. 

Personally I feel that people are probably in need of a quick descision as like metagaia they probably are short on time.

Therefore as nominated 'group decider' I choose option 3. 

The official club night is moved to Tuesday 13th and will be a free week (seems reasonable under the circumstances).

Liebasket please feel free to contact the pub (it would be useful to know of an alternative for the future. sadly though the club could not pay for the room ). If the guys willing to do it for free . Then post it up. I'm going to pop into the hangman after work anyway (to express our collective unhappiness) and can pass on the info then.

I hope everyone is ok with the descision, not ideal I know .

Sounds like the best plan to me (although I still may not be able to make it...)

Do we want to actively try and contact as many people as possible? I have a few phone numbers that I can send people a text message on, although I'm sure others have more. Happy to help though.

I've chatted to my pub landlord and he's quite happy for people to come down to play games (and buy drinks! ) tonight.  No charge for it.

I'll pop down to the hangman at 7ish and see if people fancy making the trip up.
