This is my attempt to convince people to come to OxCon this year!  I appreciate the dates are close to Conception, so that will probably rule people out.

OxCon is a board games convention run on two days (Saturday and Sunday).  It's held in the upstairs room of a pub, not unlike the Hangman although larger and warmer.  And with better chairs.

On the Saturday, somewhat over half the people (about 30) will play in a Puerto Rico tournament, while the other 20 or so play random board games all day.  There is also a small treasure hunt, providing I finish writing it.

The Sunday is similar, but with a Settlers of Catan tournament instead.

Transport - Either I will be driving, or getting a lift with Dave.  I'd ideally like to travel Friday afternoon, as I have some business in the area to do on Friday evening.  There is some gaming Friday evening.  There is also an organised pizza outing on Friday and Curry outing on Saturday, though these are optional.

Accommodation - is completely unorganised.  If you have a friend in the area you can stay with, that is ideal.  If enough people want to go we can probably sort something out.  

Convention cost is £10 if playing in all tournaments, a bit less if playing random games.  Half price for students, IIRC.
