Random Board Games Night

I took a quick straw poll last week regarding this and opinions were quite favorable.  The basic idea is we get 4-6 people to bring in board games and everyone else then get to play them with randoms you may never have spoken to before!

Basically we have a couple of groups that never play with anyone else, and I want to at least give them the oportunity to play with other peoples.  I hope that everyone will get involved, its only one week and you may make some new friends, or you may end up playing something horribly complicated with Dave(sorry)  Twisted Evil

If I have put any dates in that there is a particular reason we cant do let me know, and if you want it sometime later suggest it!

P.S. Im looking for volenteers to run the games.

I would love to play Civilization unless I'm running Carcassonne myself  Smile

Unfortunately that's a 7 player, 6 hour game,
will definately have to organise it for a sat sometime though.

I'm happy to bring Tomb.

It'll probably work best with 4 players (3+me) if people are unfamiliar with the rules.

I'd prefer to avoid the next 2-3 weeks, to allow the CotCT campaign to finish, once and for all!

For reference, my board game collection is here.

And if we're going to play a 7 player, 6 hour game, it should be Diplomacy!
xorsyst

I don't have a list of my games, but people who play with me regularly know what I have.  I suspect for a random board games shuffle I would bring/run basic Settlers of Catan (for 4, including me).

I vastly prefer PBEM Diplomacy over face to face, and I don't even like that much....

Diplomacy was a fantastic game, backstabbing as an artform!

It could always be played over a few weeks, no more than 1 hour at a time, that'd give a chance for some real skulduggery Very Happy
