We may not have a Geoff next year as he has no commitment and is buggering off for some adventure of a life time or other. So we need more warm(ish) bodies to hold shields and stop important people from getting hit.

We need reasponably sensible people, dont mind what kind of skills you have, to either hit stuff or help the people doing the hitting, there may also be some carousing and looting involved but this is entirly optional. You will also be making your own kit (we can provide help) and if you have any special skills helping others make their own kit. There are 4-5 events per year you dont have to come to any if you just want to help with the kit, the main event is august bank holidays though they are all fun.

Dont worry about weapons training we have a fair amount of experience and some not to bad fighters who can teach you. We will be doing shield wall drills.

Anyone got ideas at where to find these people. I have a couple I am working on. at the moment. I am thinking of invite only, come and meet us the group will decide if you fit in and invite you back if we do. This may sound a little unfriendly but we need to stop any numpties who cant fight safe or will destroy the group from joining. There is no one at the club at the moment that I wouldnt invite back.

Not sure how to get you in as a child of phedes, we are almost all human and from a small town. We also all have healing. It depends on what you want for your character. The other thing is we all have similar armour if you are wearing chain it will stand out.

We will be able to shoehorn you in I will talk to the others. We may just have you as a follower of phedes, or you can do the standard kender thing and take a liking to us and follow us around all the time, we cant tell you to bugger off without hurting you so we dont. Gives you the chance to take the piss out of us more.

As for reenactment I am currently skint and have too much on my plate as it is. Will have a think about it but an too busy atm.

Reenactment?
I do Medieval but a bunch of 17th century guys are persuading me to do that too! So I'm having a go at that but definately for the moment at least I am a Medieval hitter of people

17th? beware of the ides of the Sealed Knot, they have more concusions per event than all the other re-enactment groups put together, best not to mention the authenticity of most of the worn kit (Grannies curtains)

other than that they are a good laugh with some interesting ideas on how to make a firing squad look more realistic..... (raspberries in the matchlocks) (though they only did that once and the poor bugger on the receiving end spent some time having the pips removed)
