Spending money - tables & domain name

As discussed with 'Teflon Billy' and Robin last night, I'm going to spend the following on behalf of the club this week:

~£10 on transfer and renewal of the chestergames.co.uk domain name at http://www.gandi.net/.
£82.22 on two 6-ft tables from Costco (the same as the two we already have).

I haven't taken any money for these, so I expect to be reimbursed in used notes on Monday 16 Aug. Cool

I won't buy the tables until the weekend, so this is the last chance for people to object/query.

You expect to be paid! Shocked That was never part of the deal.

You should just be content to bask in the positive karma, and joy of your fellow gamers Razz .

In the real world:

Current kitty: £145 (probably £155 now with money from last night).

So this would leave approx £50 (£60).

We appear at the moment to be running an average 'profit' of £10 per week (this will probably 'dip' a little in September).

After these purchases, I think we should probably let the kitty rise back up to £100 and then perhaps have 'free weeks' (arrangements to be discussed at the time).

Comments welcomed  Very Happy .

I'll tell that to Robin when he asks me for my £1 each week! Cool

The last time this became an issue of sorts, it was felt that dropping the subs to a flat 50p until the kitty dropped to a manageable level was easier and fairer than switching between £0 & £1 arbitrarily from week to week.

(Of course, some of us missed out on the cheap 6 months entirely due to having a baby, grr...)

I think we'll probably discuss preferences when the time comes - either works for me

This might be a silly question but do we have enough chairs to seat people around the number of tables we'll have? There's plenty of seating that's too high but people always seem to be hunting for the smaller chairs at table height.

If you look in the storage room (down the far end with the green push handle). I pretty sure there are spare chairs in there.

Or I think there's some flexibility for taking some from downstairs (within reason). If these suggestions don't solve the problem, post it up/let me know.

Well, the last couple of weeks we've taken all the normal height chairs from in there. Admittedly I've never gone up or down the stairs in that stairwell, so I don't know if there are more hidden away.

That I did not know.

Sounds like we better evaluate this on Monday. I'll check with Gary (landlord) and see if any more are available.

Due to various issues (including cashflow, i.e. I lost my wallet, including all my cards) I've not been able to make these purchases this week.

I'll be able to go to Costco before the 23rd, but I'll need to take some money from the kitty in advance.

I've PM'ed annoyinglizardvoice.

I took £83 from the kitty on Monday; I'll buy the tables at the weekend.

I've moved and renewed the chestergames.co.uk domain; I think it cost £7.42 in total (TBC before Monday).
paz

I spent £82.22 on the two tables today, so I've spent £89.64 in total on behalf of the club this week. Taking off the £83 I got from the kitty last Monday, I'm now owed £6.64.
paz

Now fully reimbursed.
