I havent been online for a while so i havent been able to sort it out. could somebody get everyone together and compile a list of exactly who was involved, its seriously unfair and way out of order.

Thanks guys.

Thats what there needs to be! I went really out of my way to get mine, and everyone else got something. Its seriously bogus and whoever it was either needs reminding or needs to fess up. Its blatant dishonesty, unless its just an honest mistake. Either way its not cool

Given the fact that the main person or organized this doesn't even come to the club any more, I'd imagine that this would be a tough job.

Some people might not even remember who they were secret Santa for 6 months after, and in any case, no-one is going to admit that they were the one who didn't get you a present.

There is also the possibility that a mistake was made, for whatever reason your name was not handed out, or similar. If that is the case, then there is no malice involved and having a 'Head Hunt' would only cause drama, something that we have been thankfully without over the last few months.

I really fail to see what exactly a witch hunt would achieve.  At absoloute best all it would get you is a present worth a fiver; from several hours worth of effort from the person who actually undertakes this task, and the resentment of the assigned person, and just reraise any buried issues of that time.  All I can remember was who I bought for and received from, so tracking it down is going to involve asking everybody, including people not currently at the club.

It just seems best to me if we keep a master list next time, so this kind of thing is avoided.  Secret Santa is meant to be fun above everything else, it is not what santa would want to see this issue dividing the good boys and girls months after the event.  Wink

In a less sugar coated way, "get over it".

The gifts were £5 each, something went wrong, yes, but not out of any malice for you I'd imagine. these things happen occasionally. Just let it go. Gifts are about the giving and not the receiving and as you put a lot of thought into the one you bought your pleasure should have come from seeing the smile it created.

Sorry hun, but I can't see anyone backing you up in this. Yes it is a bad thing to have happend, but trying to 'right' it, when the person who should have bought for you may not even be coming to the club anymore is only going to cause more bad feeling, not less.

its just very uncool. we are supposed to have structure and such now so this kind of thing shouldnt happen again. I'm nto goign to bother carrying on with this anyway, was hoping to jog some memories. But I'm pretty sure I wont be involved in the next one. Aaron out
