The Story of Phedes.
Ill give you a bullet point list of the story. Ill fill in any gaps tomorow.

• We live in a small village called leabarn. Slightly fortified ballistrade or wooden walls. Located in  a valley in mullingar
• We moved in x years ago. (ill let you know when that is later)
• There is a smaller village just north of leabarn. Mailnly farmers and farm houses.
• The dead arose from a large graveyard used by both villages attacked the farmland. Killing all they could. Any survivors fled into leabarn. The dead stayed and attacked leabarn but coulnt beat get through the defences. Altho they were cept at bay the villagers couldnt kill the dead and so hid in the walls.
• The village was being starved out and so a plan was devised. The village sent out 4 messangers. The fastest riders in the village. All sent out a message for help and each was sent in a differerent directions.  Non of the riders came back. The  village was starving and anyone who died  came back within 24 hours. The village could just survive on reserves but things were getting desperate.
• Without warning weeks after the messangers were sent out a body floated down the river.  The villagers watched the body and believed it to be alive. A rescue party was sent out and saved the body from the river.
• The body was a mans and was imensivly damaged. It was cut and broken bones even tho the body was laden with decorative armour . The man fell into a fever which lasted 8 days. When the fever broke the man miraculasly healed to full strengh apart from his left hand which remained black and poisaned.
• It was found that the man was on his way to meet the dragon war band when he found a messanger dead on his horse. When he read the message he rushed to the villages aid but was attacked by the dead on his way.
• Phedes set about training  the males in village to fight. He showed us how to make armour and how to fight with a sword ansd shield. Phedes had a special power in which he could make the ill healthy again. Phedes dissapeared one day and returned two days later. He had snook out and scanned the area. He found from the grave yard that a red hooded figure walked amon g the dead without being attacked.
• Phedes came up with a plan. We would take a small attack force of skilled fighters to the grave yard and strike the red hooded  as he believed he was the problem. Phedes also created a small army to fight the dead head on to create diversion. The army was led by brother gates farther.  Before phedes left he touched every villager on the head. Phedes granted the power to heal to all the villagers.
• The villagers won the battle and rushed to the grave yard to help phedes. As they got there phedes was in a gruling head to head battle with the gasherim. Both had hurt eachother imensly but it was phedes who fell first. The rest of the villagers rushed in and suceeded where phedes failed. Unfortunitly the villagers powers were to weak and phedes died. From here he is regarded as our savour.

part of the background is that we dont know much about him. That way he could be a paladin or an avatar of an ancestor etc. It lets plot play with our heads.

ok, so what about another body being found in the river, a traveller with no memory, could it be pheds return? or an unlikely coincidence?

Thinking about it there is a dwarf called Dai which may get confused. Cant think of anyone called Tieve.

Tieve means Hillside
Shy means Strong
Aileen light, green meadow...
