Tents/SheltersWe need a cheap tent/shelter for the next few events. I was thinking getting one of thesehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HEAVY-DUTY-...iewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 and using the poles and pegs we already have, we will need a bit of rope as well. Make up something like http://www.flickr.com/photos/camy...7074488/in/set-72157607222755327/. Its so simple that if it dosent like the wind we can drop it in seconds.
Easy and fast. Costs about £30

N you/we/I could sew on coloured fabric as detailing....just an idea

Work required involves figuring out how to put spikes on top of th metal poles we have. Then we have to tie some knots. No sewing.
Sewing on cloth detailing would be nice if we have time.

if the poles are hollow its easy enough. Get a plug, wooden or something hammer the spike onto it and hey presto all you need to do is slot it on.
Wouldnt it be better with wood? like in the picture, or is that a transport issue?

wood is better looking but I hav a shed load of metal poles from the old command tent. Plus transport is easier with the metal poles.
Yup spikes are easy, which is why I am suggesting this idea. Lump of wood and a big nail. Plus Josh can make pretty shapes for us.

Right someone want to oder this. Comes to about £30, divide the cost between everyone that attends the next event. I wont be able to order it till just before the event so we wont have it in time.
Any vonteers?

We have the canvas, rope and poles we just need the tops of the poles. Josh can you run us something up if I drop a pole off for you. Needs to fit securly on the top of the pole and have a big spike on it to go through the eyelet.
Im thinking a lump of wood with a big nail in it. Put a hole in the wood to fit the pole or a plug to fit inside the pole, whichever is easier for you.
We need REALLY big nails. I can cut the tops off them and round it off nice once they are in the wood.
