Does treasurer require anything more than the deputy treasurer post I have at the moment?

I know I'm new and haven't even met you all in person, but honestly, does the club really need a treasurer and an assistant treasurer. I've been a member of multiple societies and clubs and honestly, one treasurer has always proven to be enough in those. After all to be on the committee you need to be a regular member, so on the rare occation the treasurer isn't there whichever committee member is most able at the time can assume the role. My opinion is simple. If more than 10% of your members are on the committee, the committee is too big. Keeping it simple makes it approachable.

I would imagine, practically not, apart from an overall responsibility for the finances/records.
Are you interested?

Sounds like one for the next AGM. We may end up in that position anyway (by default) if no-one else is interested.

The reason to have both a treasurer and vice treasurer is to make sure there is always someone to take responsibility if the 'main' person is off, and it has proved very useful over the past year or two. Though I agree its not essential, having a 'vice' saves time and potential problems whilst losing us nothing.

There was approx £55 in the 'box'. With the £50 that Shaphron is bringing on Monday that makes £105.
As far as I'm aware that's the current total.
