Boreham shopping centre is the only mall I can find on the wiki.  So just keep heading east til you reach east borehamwood.

There is a mall in the east and a shopping centre in the south i believe, that is if you are in the Borehamwood map. I don't know if others exist yet.

Beginners Guide to Urban Dead

Use the above link for general info. My advice, grab some first aid kits (FAKs) from hospital or mall and use them to gain exp reasonably quickly (faster than trying to hit something with no combat skills) when you have enough exp consider the following skills: Military Skills Free running, hand to hand, axe prof

After that i would say to have a look at Civilian Skills such as construction and bargain hunting (if you like malls) IMHO i don't think body building is that crucial until later on when you start getting lots of exp due to weapon prof (ie you become a target for clever zombies)

so you just go into a hospital and search? What do you do if you see dead bodies, is it best to avoid zombies or bash them? lol

I used my fuel to power up a generator, youd think youd get exp for that!

If you have no combat skills it's best to avoid them for now.  If there are dead bodies you can dump them outside for 1xp each.

What Josh said is pretty much correct, though I would make Free running the #1 priority, since a VSB building can be taken down by 1 high level zombie, while an EHB takes at least 2.

Don't bother searching in malls unless you have shopping, and you probably won't even be able to enter them unless you have Free Running.

apparantly this mall is secure but not too heavily fortified, so non free runners can get in

Beware though because during quieter times (times when 30+ zombies are not outisde the malls) they can become places of PK-ing, so if you have a weird name (Death Jester is probably ok) you may be killed if you spend the night in there.

Mr Falco MacLeod has entered the diary room comp about a week ago and since did a runner in fear of his life (No revives in this area).

When i did it i just walked straight in but you cannot access diary room from street even if not barricaded just enter another part of the BB house and then it is like a mall, you can walk freely within even without free running. However if the 'cades are all up to EHB++(+?) then i guess you do need free running.

Currently level 6 civillian with a reasonable ammount of firepower so may head back to BB house to get quick XP if zeds are in high quantity around that area

I found a lot of fields and a river, I barely made it back to the cover of buildings. I think i will give it another go tomorrow.......there are 3 zombies in the next area......the building im in isn't secure. I don't have high hopes.

Is anyone else having issues with the random system? attacked a zombie 40 times with a 3-d weapon and only hit it 4 times!
Oh and any idea on the odds for searching for things? Seem to waste a lot of time doing that.

whats your percentage to hit atm? if it is only 10% then 4 out of 40 is about right. It really is hit or miss tho (no pun intended).

searching depends on what you want and the building you are in. For info on rough percentages the Urban Dead Wiki page is helpful. just google urban dead items or something similar

Ok just found you, still out of APs. I'm pretty well armed and have got 7 first aid kits which I can use on myself or others. I can't see anything about giving stuff to other people, just droping stuff, can others then pick it up?

no dropping something has no affect on what people pick up you just lose that item

that sucks, I have an axe and a hockey stick.....they do the same thing. I have a fencing foil too, not as good. And a toolbox I cant use. Its a bit poor not being able to give stuff to people. I have 2 first aids. I cant see a way of getting exp in this game, asside from hiting people then healing them.

Yeah I had a bit of trouble logging in.

I'm at Minifie Yard [579,51], just killed a lone zombie, saw nothing else on the way. I'm out of APs. I'll probably log back in at about 10.00 and either head for Shillito Avenue Police Station [581,49] or Cyril Square Fire Station [576,52]. If I live that long!

EDIT: Oh Cr*p! I'm being attacked! Mike Dodds may not last that long.  Just spent my last AP going towards the Fire Station, I'll log in later, see I can make it. Perhaps I should not have been so keen to kill that Zombie!
