Weekend daytime activity?I know that I tend to go on and on (and on) about my kids, but few people at the club have ever met them. Any evening events that get organised are past their bed time (in turn making it difficult for Heather and me to come along together).
Does anyone have any ideas for cheap, interesting, child-friendly weekend daytime activities that could be organised by the club? We'd be far more likely to be able to say hello.

They are a bit young yet, and Paz considers larpers to be a lower(or higher I cant remember) form of Geek.
BBQ Later in the year, I keep meaning ot organise one and then never having time.
Chester zoo visit might be nice, get a few of us at that I imagine, its not cheap though.

I'm very pro this, although I'm not sure what would be sufficiently interesting for non-parents. Chester zoo is very dear.
I think Mark (3 1/2) would love LARP practice, but he might be a bit too violent.

I need larp practice so will organise when the weathers a bit better. If small children are coming tell us before so the blokes can bring appropiate armour. Having monstered the childrens linear trying to fight 2 handed and keep certain regions protected isnt easy.

Hi All, before xmas I started arranging a daytime party for families, running onto later when the kiddies have gone home / gone to bed (can set up a kids room in the spare room upstairs - I'm thinking more for travel cots for little ones who will need naps in the afternoon)
From the amount of interest though I realised the use of garden / meadow would be essential so I've been holding back until we can be fairly sure of sun.
For those who have seen the inside of my house I fully intend to remove stuff that could be broken by, or could break small children I HAVE thought this through!!
Due to stuff already organised tghis is likely to be April some time, though that being the case I might just hold it back to my birthday - though it does mean most of you LAME larpers won't come.

Suggestion:
Ponyo
Hopefully it will be on next weekend as well, as I think that this weekend would be Short Notice.

I'm afraid our kids at least are too young for the cinema. (Well, Mark is borderline, but I'd rather get him to sit through a film at home first).
