Good find there Gileh!
List updated thanks to feedback and excellent suggestions below:
The terrace at number 10 - http://www.theterraceatnumberten.co.uk/ (posh food, think odd veggies)
The Brewery Tap - http://www.the-tap.co.uk/ (pub food)
La Fottoria - http://www.lafattoriachester.com/ (Italian)
Zizzi - http://www.zizzi.co.uk/ (Italian)
They're all walking distance from the centre of chester, and at all of them you can find a main meal for £10 or less. These are my criteria for inclusion. Any more feedback on the choices available is most welcome!
I propse a Friday, then we can take advantage or the Friday Night Rock Project at the Hangman, and make a night of it. I also suggest we do this in February. If anyone has any dates that they can't make, please tell me. I will book asap.
I am going to mention now, so there is no confusion: you will be paying for what you buy. We will not be splitting it between us, as this can lead to upsets if some people buy less or more than others.
I will be bugging people about this at the club this coming monday too.

My personal spin... Having eaten at quite a few on the list I would highly recommend
The Brewery Tap - http://www.the-tap.co.uk
Joseph Benjamin - http://www.josephbenjamin.co.uk
Chez Jules - http://www.chezjules.com
The staff are always friendly the food always delicious and, with the possible exception of Joseph Benjamin, excellently priced for their portions. The exception being he uses all local produce and has, for want of a better phrase, a "higher standard" of menu.
I cannot say the same thing for the blue moon, having been there twice now the food was plastic and not properly cooked and the staff were downright rude and miserable on both occasions.
For places not on the list I would also highly recommend
La Fattoria - http://www.lafattoriachester.com ( I am amazed this didn't make the list, the only possible factor is it serves italian only. All pizzas are cooked in the big oven in the dining area and are sublime)
Zizzi's - http://www.zizzi.co.uk/
Moules a go go - www.moulesagogo.co.uk(more expensive but if we get the beat the clock between 6 and 7 on the friday, the time is the price you pay)
Purely my opinion do with it what you will

I'm not certain this link will work,
http://www.moneysupermarket.com/vouchers/map/
but if it does we can find vouchers for restaraunts around us which may save a few pennies. If it doesn't I'll just keep an eye on it and tell everyone whats there once we have a date set.

You get a map here (about halfway down the page):
http://www.moneysupermarket.com/vouchers/#local
But it looks like you have to join the 'eClub' to get the offers.

OK, due to lack of responce, can I assume that people don't want this? Cos that's ok, and would save me some time, but I want to be sure...
