ZendobunDoes anyone fancy a game of Zendobun on the forum?
In this game, one player takes the role of the Zen Master, and the others the role of Student.
The Master decides upon a rule that distinguishes koans (in this case, sentences) into those that have the budda nature, and those that do not. He then gives two example sentences, one with and one without the budda nature.
Students are then invited to post a sentence along with whether they think that sentence has the budda nature.
The master then replies, indicating which sentences have the budda nature. Students who guessed correctly are awarded a guessing stone.
As an alternative to posting a sentence, students may post a guess of the budda nature, at the cost of a guessing stone. In this case the master will post a counterexample to their rule, either a sentence which has the budda nature but the student's rule says does not, or vice versa. If the master cannot do this, the student has reached enlightenment and wins.
In face to face play students take turns, but in forum play I think this would work best if students are free to take up to one turn between master turns, which should perhaps be once or twice daily.

Hmm, sounds like an interesting deductive game. I'd be up for it if enough people are
*Edit* Correction: an interesting *inductive* game.

I would like to see if I have reached enlightenment. I believe that sentences with the same letter twice in succession have the buddha nature, e.g.
Cheese is my food of choice.

Yes, might be worth a separate thread. It's up to you!
Also, I think it would make sense for guesses of the Buddha nature to be in spoiler tags
so that multiple people can guess during one turn without giving too much away. Just a thought.
