Who is monstering and who is playing?

Details up on the dragons muster now. I am intending to monster, I would suggest newbies do the same.

hi ian. I am still very reluctant to monster.

I know im not obliged to 'run around monster' but for a 5 day event im not sure if they will have enough 'speaking/acting' parts to keep me entertained. Im reluctant on health grounds at the moment as i still have a bad chest and am going for hip xrays on thursday so may not be able to run around too much come april depending on the outcome.

Id prefere to go in character and and stay in/around the main camp. (providing back up when nessasary).

There generally will be no main camp to hang around in. The group last year was moving fairly constantly. tbh if your not sure about fitness then dont do this one, with the likely weather it is easiest the hardest event to play all year.

Trying to find that out now, so far me and Josh are going and driving. I think we are mostly monstering.  I am strictly limiting it to 2 in my car, me and one other. Any more and the car is overloaded wth the amount of kit that we tend to take.

Ditto with the two people thing, I am in two minds to play or monster still.

Weather will surely be harsh, especially after what we have witnessed recently.

need to take as much kit as you have due to not knowing which monster role you will get. It needs to be fairly generic stuff, non specific to your character.

In other words, leave tabbards behind and shields also if a cover cannot be found/made for them in time. Take everything else.

Oh and lots of layers if it is anything like last year

If we get an idea of numbers it may be worth considering a van. I would be happy to drive a swb tranni if needed. That will take 3 plus all the kit and we could get more in the cars.

We need as many pole arms as we can manage. So far we have one which belongs to Nurse Mat.

Maybe take one shield, and we play our characters on the first night so tabbards but no armour will be required.
