We have made the effort to make sure you have transport.  I also need to know if you are going as I am dragging your kit down there, I dont want the extra weight if you are not going to bother turning up

sounds a little harsh there.

Matt dropped out for good reason and I may have to as well. I am taking over a business soon and am trying to find a place to live.

I will post on here and let the people who need to know the score asap by phone.

It is not a case of 'bothering' you know how much i want to go, how I have been wanting to get some practice in and such since the last event. So please don't treat me unfairly here. I have alot on my plate and i'm not the first or the last to have issues last minute so feel free to be understanding.

i'm going to guess that Ian was in a bad mood yesterday? Combined with trying to organise for us all, and it being 2 days before said event, probably put him on edge. We're still willing to take you down, I'm guessing meeting at the station in chester? Will double check check-in times and estimated journey times (I like getting places early/on time) and post back here my best guess of when we should set off from the station. I'll PM you with my mobile number, and I'll check the boards tonight and tomorrow morning. If you don't have tiome to say on the boards give me a text saying if you're coming or not - we'll be there for you if you need us.

OK, after checking the booking form, and looking online, the only place which might be able to tell me if there is an official "please do not arrive before this time" thing is the forums, and since I don't have an LT character I can't join up (as I understand it, your user name has to be your character name). So, I'm going to go under the idea that the earlier we get there, the easier it will be to pitch the tent, and to get a good spot for pitching the tent. According to google, it should be about 2hr 30mins drive, looks easy (straight down the M6, then M5, then M42, then M40, off at juntion 12, straight south to camp), so setting off at 10:30 ish from station sound ok? we'll be there between 1:30 and 2, maybe a bit later depending on stopping and traffic. I can't even find anything saying when time in is, but I'm guessing the evening? Someone please correct me if any of these assumptions are incorrect.

We cant get on site before 2ish.  You can sign on the forums, there is no IC but anymore so the name you use dosent matter.

Googlemaps told me 3 hours to get there, Ill be leaving as soon as Mike arrives at mine.

thanks guys. Google maps - I'm going from chester station to the piost code - there seems to be no map on the scout camp website (it seems rather sh!t to be honest) so I'm hoping this is the right place/time. We used the post code to get to the last one tho, and it turned out to take us to completely the wrong place, so I'm not sure this wont either. I'm hoping tho, cos it is right next to Horley, which bodes well for Horley Scout camp.

As I'm paranoid about getting lost (I HATE being lost) I'm going to bring the map & directions from google maps tonight, to make sure I'm going to the right place...
