Gents, this is where you get to discuss and ask me questions with regards to the game.

Have fun and good luck.

I was wondering what the connection is between the squad?  I mean yea we're all scouts and all likely around the same level of advancement towards becoming fully trained Initiates but do we actually know each other or have we been pulled from all over the fleet now arriving at Armageddon because we're all about ready to get our hands dirty with foul xeno blood?

You're based off the Ophidium Gulf a space marine strike cruiser with a compliment of around 100 battle brothers (initiates and sword brethren). Your number makes up around 1/3 the number of neophytes on the ship. You will know of each other and trained with each other a number of times.

However, if you have been in battle with each other before (this will be your first campaign / war) is completely up to you. Same goes for personal familiarity.

Well since I dont have any real chance to work anything extra out with anyone besides Fenix, I'll say Lukas hasn't worked with anyone else before.

That should keep it simple for myself at least.

Like above I will assume my character doesn't know anyone, such as his nature he is an outcast so is unlikely to have actively made conversation with anyone.

On the kit purchase, unfortuneately I couldn't make it on monday so I am not sure what gear there is available, is there somewhere on the web I can find the items & prices? If not, would you like to just assign me equipment based on my characters most likely choices?

Yea your right, I badly worded my last post.  The Scouts would have worked together and would know each other beyond simply 'Isn’t that Brother Xenobane? We have Bolter class together'  They would have likely been on all the various drills and rites that the Neophytes would be going through together.

When I said worked together I was meaning in live combat, my bad.  For anyone who isn’t up to speed on the day to day fun and games that goes into the life of the Emperors finest, here’s a basic chapters 'normal' day.  Granted this is for a full Battle Brother and might not exactly reflect the carefree scout days that Fenix wants but it’s a fair guideline.

0400 - Morning Prayer - Led by the Company Chaplain, the Space Marines renew their oaths to the Emperor and the company relics are displayed. This time is also used to give out orders, announcements and other administrative tasks.
0500 - Morning Firing Rites - The Space Marines engage in target practice with their personal and squad weaponry, awards and punishments are dispensed for consistently good or poor accuracy respectively.
0700 - Battle Practice - Generally this is close quarters oriented, however live fire or hazardous environment training may be done instead (or as well).
1200 - Midday Prayer - In addition to prayer any injured Space Marines can report to the Apothecary.
1300 - Midday Meal - Normally local wildlife killed during the morning activities.
1315 - Tactical Indoctrination - This can take many forms, from information on a new alien species or technology to strategy. A debrief of the morning's battle is common as well.
1500 - Battle Practice - This focuses more on combined tactics in conjunction with vehicles, Dreadnoughts and devastator squads and normally includes a trial of a new tactic introduced during the tactical indoctrination.
2000 - Evening Prayer - In addition to prayer, gene-seed testing may occur at this point.
2100 - Evening Meal - A feast (by normal human standards) is provided by the Chapter serfs, and some Chapter Masters may allow alcohol to be consumed.
2130 - Night Firing Exercises - If the chapter is based on a planet where there is no perceptible night or they are based on a fleet, firing exercises are under taken in exotic environments such as underwater, through dense fog or smoke or in zero gravity.
2315 - Maintenance Rituals - Each Space Marine is expected to maintain his own power armour and weapons, and it is often checked by the Chapter's Techmarines.
2345 - Free Time - Space Marines are permitted this time to reflect upon their duty to The Emperor, however many Chapter Masters regard free time as a frivolous waste, and a dangerous distraction in the extreme.
0000 - Rest Period - Space Marines are allocated 4 hours in which to sleep.

As for how the others know Lukas, he had grown up in military environments and in squads or classes.  He would be at ease with his peers, anyone in his squad would be someone he could talk to more casually than anyone outside his unit.  On the firing ranges and in the sparring rings he would show more technique than some of his other peers having been raised around weapons and drills but from growing up on a civilised (albeit very military) world Lukas would not have the same physical abilities as some of the scouts from more brutal upbringings, namely the ones from death worlds.

As I said above, he would have likely shared firing ranges and sparred with everyone, they would likely all be assigned to the same area of the ship as their quarters.

Anything else extra needed?

When your replying, just highlight the text you want and then select the colour from the Font Colour drop down box.

EDIT:  Oh and Lukas never took a shotgun, he went for the Bolter.

Cant be having him dirty his hands with such a weapon when there are holy Bolters on the table Wink
