So, all being well, Teflon Billy and metagaia will be joining us from next week with PCs that still have that lovely new Pathfinder Society recruit smell.

I'm not sure what to run yet; the options are:I'm open to suggestions.

For the existing players: whatever we play, it will be tier 1-2. People with existing 1st or 2nd level PFS characters can play them; otherwise it's best to create a new PC. If we play a PFS scenario, it's possible to play down with a 3rd-5th level character, but it's not recommended due to balance issues (plus, the reward will be very low). If we play a Module, then the characters must be 1st or 2nd level; playing down from higher than that is not possible.

The new players should do the following:
  • Go to paizo.com and click 'Sign In' at the top.
  • Either 'Sign In' with an existing account (I know Chris has one), or click 'Create New Account' and fill in the form.
  • Go to paizo.com/pathfinderSociety and click 'Join the Pathfinder Society!' on the right to get a PFS number.
  • Download the guide. Chapter 2 (pages 5-7) contains the character creation rules, and there is a character sheet at the end.
  • Go to your PFS account page and click the link at the bottom that says 'Register a new character' to do just that.
Alternatively, just turn up. I'll bring some pregens with me for people to choose from, and also some cards with PFS numbers on them. If you want to carry on after the first adventure, you can keep the pregen character (and modify it a bit), or create an entirely new character for the second and subsequent adventures.

Last but not least, a new holiday boon has been released!

Surprisingly I'm thinking about using the Wizard Pre-gen and then probably making a wizard character once I've got a grasp on the mechanics.

I'm not wedded hugely to the idea though, if the party has obvious gaps, I'm happy to fill them.

I sorta promise, that he/she might not be called 'Lotus'   Wink  .

I've ordered the core rulebook and downloaded Hero Lab.

Good man! HeroLab is excellent and I'm sure we can free-form around a wizard.
I've got options for "hitting", "healing" or "knowing about" things so I'm sure we'll be fine.
Glory awaits!!

I have a few options floating around as well. One is a Magus, and another is some form of Alchemist or Barbarian/Alchemist--which is VERY good at hitting things, and can use healing wands/infusions (and likely has access to several knowledge skills with very high Int). Or possibly a Bard/Cavalier focused on party support.

I've my fighter and druid. Both level 1 which I don't mind playing.

Fighter breaks stuff and the druid is melee / support. Will roll something different if needed.

Module wise, godsmouth looks good, and as its a level 1 only module, oppertune time to run.

Given that it's designed for 1st level characters, and it segues nicely from the City of Strangers adventure, I'll run the Godsmouth Heresy from 13 Feb. I expect it to last 3-4 sessions (although I could be mistaken).

Probably either for a Paladin for hitting and diplomacy, play with some builds and see what I get.

We tend to start early, 7 or 7:15ish, but it depends what time people arrive.
