I was thinking about buying a fantasy boardgame for casual gaming purposes. After a bit of research its probably between:

Talisman 4th Edition
Runebound 2nd Edition or
Tomb.

Any opinions? Or alternatives?

I got tomb from Esdevium games for demoing.

Very good, fairly light but a lot of fun and plays in around 2.5 hours with 4.

Those that played last monday really liked it.

I have runebound second, enjoyable but runs much longer can go 4-5 hours, longer if more than 4 players

Not played talisman 4th, but do have 3rd + dragons tower

I'm happy to bring any of these along.

Simon, given what I've said in this post, maybe this Monday would be a good opportunity...

Ok, sounds like a plan. Can I just make a few requests:

1. Is it ok to wait until about 7.00 to start? I'm usually a bit late due to work.
2. Can I 'reserve' a place (for obvious reasons).
3. What is your RL name (dedinahed)?

Ta,

Not entirely sure if I can make it tomorrow (if I'm not there by 6:45 assume I won't be coming) so I don't say I want to reserve myself.  However, I am interested in The Game Wink

Will go off and read rules now, but again, cannot guarantee I will be there.

Oh, and the RL name is Dave/David IIRC

EDIT: Read the rules and it seems pretty fun!

Ok, sorry, scrap all that. I won't be able to come tonight due to work reasons that are too boring to go into.

Perhaps another time.

It seems I cannot delete my repeated post so I've done this instead.
