For anyone who hasn't been before (like me) this looks like a useful thread:

Few good ideas in there. I can do a big stew and bring the slow cooker if people fancy that for the first day, if someone else gets a load of nice bread.  In previous year we have tried to cook a few times as the fast food gets old fast. It depends what games are available and when.

Sunday lunch sounds like a nice idea.

Still not found the indoor pool.

Ian

I'm happy to do cooking (Yes, I actually can, and pretty well if I try) but as a warning I am not a fan of washing up. I'm not beyond doing my share, but I'm more likely to trade other chores!

chilli and such is easy enough. I think we did pretty well food wise last time but obviously there are more mouths this time around. so its best to get together when we are all there and figure it out.

We are potentially feeding 12 this time. Even if we split it into lodges its still 6.

I will probably do a big stew for the first day, freeze it a few days before and leave it in the slow cooker on low overnight, will be ready for lunch tea the next day.

Matt and I have thought of this - it is highly unlikely that we will be eating any fast food, as it works out more expensive. We also both enjoy cooking (and don't mind washing up, within reason) and we have both said (to each other) that we would quite like it if one day at least we all got together and ate together - and we are willing to cook for this - either collaboratively, or two separate dishes so people can pick what they want. Other than that, we do like cooking for more pople than just 2, so if anyone wants to share a meal with us they're welcome - so long as they say so before we start cooking!

I intend to pack some non-perisable easy to prepare stuff to keep my belly filled. May not be the highest quality fare but will do the trick and keep the costs lower (I'll undoubtedly get lazy and spend more on fast food than strictly nessarcary but I don't intend to live out of the snack bar.) However with the stuff I plan to bring and my love of coffee I'll probably get through milk fairly quickly. How easily accessible are places that sell milk and other similar nessecities?

As for sitting down to eat it sounds like a nice idea. I am however as some of you well know a fussy easter and don't want to rule over what others are eating and just make a pain of myself.

There is a supermarket 10 mins drive away. We will be doing a couple of runs out to it. We have 3, maybe 4 cars between the two lodges.
